Aimee Rust, LCPC, LMFT
My passion is to help individuals and couples overcome the challenges in their lives to create fulfilling relationships and find increased peace. I have great respect for the courage it takes people to come to counseling, to share their stories, and to invite me into their lives. I strive to provide an environment that is accepting, compassionate, and empowering, so clients can begin the process of working through difficult emotions and making desired changes in their lives.
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have worked with clients on a wide array of issues. I began my career working with children and their families, addressing emotional and behavioral concerns, working toward increasing connection, and improving emotional well-being. As I progressed in my career, I shifted into working more with adults and doing more couples’ counseling.
I have done training in several different therapeutic models, including Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Compassion Therapy. I have found these approaches to be beneficial for increasing connection within couples’ relationships and in addressing individuals’ emotional health.
